Théophile is a successful writer in decline. He finally rediscovers his inspiration by writing a poetic, aquatic tale. But the interpretation of the text by those closest to him turns out to be cataclysmic: they recognize themselves in the characters of sea urchins, octopus and other sea creatures, detecting hidden messages in the metaphors. Tonight, they gather for dinner to settle the score.
