Not far from Lodève is the Priory of Grandmont situated on a prehistoric site overlooking spectacular landscape. Classified Historical Monument, a real jewel of roman architecture, it is the only remaining monastery of the Order of Grandmont entirely preserved from the 12th and 13th centuries: church, cloister, chapter hall, convents.
