This 43 km itinerary, linking Montpellier to Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, offers a gradual immersion into the Languedoc landscape, with its urban heritage, garrigues and verdant valleys.

After a lively start in the heart of Montpellier, the route follows in the footsteps of the pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela, marked by Compostelle nails and emblematic sites. The environment soon becomes more natural, crossing garrigue landscapes scented with thyme and rosemary. The route follows ancient drailles used for transhumance. Further on, the UNESCO-listed Pont du Diable spans the Hérault in a majestic setting, heralding the entrance to the spectacular Gorges de l'Hérault. The arrival at Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert takes us through a steep landscape, where the Gellone Abbey, a medieval jewel, marks the culmination of this journey combining nature and history.
