Beaulieu is home to a natural stone quarry.
Beaulieu stone is distinctive and was formed after the withdrawal of the Miocene sea, 15 million years ago. It is a sedimentary limestone rock, which is light beige in colour and contains small fossilised shells. It is found between Vendargues and Beaulieu.
The first quarries date back to antiquity and two of them are still operation today within the municipality.
