Next edition from 17 to 20 July 2025The Swinging Montpellier festival is an international festival dedicated to swing music and dance. For 3 days and 3 nights, Montpellier dances swing, and more specifically Lindy Hop, Roots jazz and Charleston.

Le Swinging Montpellier C'est quoi ?

The Swinging Montpellier festival takes place in the heart of summer (3rd weekend in July), in Montpellier’s heritage sites, bringing together dancers and jazz swing enthusiasts from all over the world, as well as apprentices, jazz lovers and tourists passing through.

The programme is 80% free: concerts at Le Peyrou, swing balls, swing dance initiations, lectures and access to the swing village are open to all.

Only the masterclasses and the Gala evening are ticketed.

The aim of the festival is threefold: to raise awareness of Montpellier’s swinging excellence, to promote and pass on the cultural heritage of swing music and dance, and to enhance Montpellier’s art of living by including it in the Swinging Montpellier festival experience.
