The city is full to bursting with culture; it’s an open-air museum.

Montpellier has much to offer visitors with these free exhibition venues in Ecusson.

Let’s start our adventure at Pavillon Populaire on Esplanade Charles de Gaulle near Place de la Comédie

Feast your eyes on a prime photography exhibition. The current theme is French photography from the 70s onwards!

We end our little jaunt at the Dominique Bagouet centre. It doesn’t take long to visit its regular exhibitions celebrating 19th-21st century regional artists next door to Pavillon Populaire.

    DELVE DEEPER INTO CONTEMPORARY ART

    Are your friends more into contemporary art?

    Well, just a few minutes walk from the Pavillon Populaire is the MO.CO. Panacée

    This MO.CO. venue hosts exciting and all-encompassing exhibitions exploring a range of art forms throughout the year: sculpture, painting, video and choreography.

    We visit an exhibition about pottery.

    Let’s stop at Espace Saint-Ravy along the way. It showcases up and coming artists from in and around Montpellier.

    The ever-changing exhibitions introduce visitors to a whole host of artists!
