Also called “the egg” because of its shape, the square is as beautiful by day as by night. Admire the architecture of the 19th century buildings around the square. Do you see the building that is nicknamed the “diver”?

I go up the rue de la Loge, the architecture of the 19th century buildings impresses me, Atlanteans, caryatids meet my gaze, I am amazed.

A tiny wooden door faces us, Danièle inserts the keys in the lock and “suspense”, a narrow passage, a dark atmosphere, here we are climbing around 90 steps worn by time.
A ray of light and we’re finally at the top!
My breath is taken away, it’s magical, a breathtaking 360° view is offered to us over the city, the nearby sea, the vineyards, the majestic Pic Saint-Loup.
I discover the city from another angle, my photos will be unforgettable!
Take a good look… from the top of the arch admire the Place du Peyrou and the statue of Louis XIV in the center of the esplanade.
It was erected in 1828 and is the work of sculptors Debay and Carbonneaux but you will notice… no stirrups for the “Roi Soleil”.
The water tower, the aqueduct in extension, a discovery not to be missed which invites to a peaceful stroll, it is not uncommon to come across musicians, sportsmen who run, jugglers…
