Montpellier has seven administrative districts, formerly called “faubourgs” (suburbs). These are
Montpellier Centre, Hôpitaux- Facultés, Les Cévennes, Croix D’Argent, Près-d’Arènes, Port Marianne, and La Mosson.
The different districts of Montpellier are those that give the city its character. From districts rich in history such as the Écusson to more recent districts, each district has its own style!
